Clubs

Occoquan Forest has a number of clubs run by local residents. You do not have to be an OFOA member to join one of these clubs. These clubs are not part of the OFOA and are not subject to any guidance, direction, or supervision of the OFOA, nor do any OFOA funds go to the clubs.

Dog Club

The Dog Club meets in the warmer months to offer opportunities for members of the community and their dogs to socialize and promote responsible dog ownership. Activities include Mutts and Muffins, group walks in nearby parks and other special events. Meetings are posted in the Forest Flyer, Facebook, and sent via email distribution list.

While OFOA membership is not strictly required for Dog Club membership, use of the Dog Club-sponsored dog park in the OFOA common area does require OFOA membership and is subject to an additional fee administered by the Dog Club.

Book Club

We have a Book Club, but we’re waiting for information about it to be typeset and sent to the printing press.

Garden Club

The Garden Club does… gardening. More information will be forthcoming.

Wine and Wool Club

The Wine and Wool Club meets the second Friday of each month to enjoy crafting together. We spin, knit, crochet, and weave while sipping tea or wine. We also attend several fiber festivals each year and go on periodic retreats. We dress up in historical garb and teach fiber arts in the state parks. Contact Nell Benton at nmbenton@aol.com.
